As you have noted, most of the practices are at 7 a.m., which is drastically different than last year, where practices were held every Tuesday and Thursday at around 3:30 p.m. It's important to remember, though, that Jim Mora switched up practices in the middle of last season (after the loss to Oregon State) from in the late afternoon to 7 a.m. to allow for players to get breakfast before heading to classes.
This appeared to be a smart move and when the team deviated from this on the week of the Holiday Bowl, UCLA put together its poorest performance of the season.
Of course, this is pretty bad news for some fans because it means you may have to get up extra early to watch spring practices. Your friendly blogger doesn't mind though, because he, too, has classes all day.
Get your engines ready, folks. It's time for some UCLA football.
